How to get in touch with our team
Consultation
We use a range of techniques and approaches to gather and analyse information from questionnaires and consultation events through to participatory learning and action techniques and online surveys. Innovative approaches such as youth inclusion sports events, arts programmes, intergenerational activities or community fairs can help to attract the target audience to the consultation.
What makes Groundwork’s consultation services different is our local knowledge, contacts and understanding of what works in different types of neighbourhood.
Training & empowerment
We seek to transfer the skills to help communities make their own decisions and actively deliver their own local projects or services. If we're truly going to build the 'Big Society', local residents need to be empowered to build change.
Cohesion
We design initiatives that break down barriers within communities - bringing people together and creating new social networks that promote participation and resilience.
Worklessness
We help people to retrain, gain confidence, gain valuable work experience and contribute to the regeneration of their own neighbourhoods. From structured volunteering to formal placements with employers, we help people move on a journey back towards employment. We have a national partnership with the National Housing Federation focusing on the development of employment initiatives.
Young People
We believe that young people are part of the solution to improving disadvantaged areas. We help them to take an active role in their local communities and provide a range of positive activities, building confidence and self-esteem.
We also work with schools to support ‘at risk’ young people, providing them with positive experiences and building the skills that will allow them to move forwards with education or training.
