Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire worked in partnership with T4 Sustainability to offer site visits and environmental recommendations to museums and provide one-to-one advice on energy-efficiency.
A report was produced for each site and typical recommendations included replacing halogen bulbs with fluorescents or LEDs, better control of heating with timers and zoning, and trying to avoid electric heating. The reports were the first step for museums towards improving their environmental impact.
