Groundwork Cheshire is an independent charity and company limited by guarantee.  There are Groundwork Trusts across England, Wales and Northern Ireland - each is a member of the Groundwork Federation, and signs up to a series of common aims and objectives. Read more about our board.

Our Management

Jane Staley, our Executive Director moved to England from Scotland to work for ICI in 1988 and joined the Trust in 2002 as the Operations Manager, becoming the Executive Director in 2006.    Jane sits on the Cheshire East Council and Cheshire West & Chester Council Local Strategic Partnerships.  She is Chair of their Environmental Sustainability Thematic Partnerships and also sits on the Sub-Regional Climate Change and Sustainability Commission, one of several Commissions set up under the emerging Cheshire and Warrington Sub-Regional Partnership.

Jane is responsible to our Board for the management of the Trust and chairs the management team where decisions on the day to day running of Groundwork Cheshire are made.

Outside of work, Jane is a School Governor at Weaverham High School. She has two daughters, is a keen gardener and is currently learning to sail.
