Stanley Bank Triangle

Young people gained new skills on the site One of the new entrances to the site Wildflowers blooming... Horseriders on the new bridleway

Stanley Bank Triangle was a hive of industry hundreds of years ago. The site was home to collieries, copper works, metal forges, and a cornmill. Now, thanks to a Heritage Lottery Grant of £865,500 the site is being sensitively conserved as a place of unique industrial heritage.

Groundwork's role in the project was to undertake environmental improvements and improve access to the site.

It's a complex site with a fascinating history which made creating a design challenging – but our hard work has paid off and the site has begun to win awards.
