Watt Can You Do to Energise Your Company?

03/02/2012

An upcoming free information seminar on Energy Management aims to help local businesses to save money, future proof their business and protect the environment.

The seminar is being organised by Groundwork Oldham & Rochdale who have invited expert speaker, Richard Jennings, from the TNEI consultancy to talk about the benefits of energy management.

Richard Jennings from TNEI commented: “Small to medium enterprises are facing a future of high energy costs combined with pressures on profitability which means that good energy management is important for the viability of your business. However energy management does not require working in cold and dark environments or in most cases investing in expensive equipment. By attending this workshop business can understand what energy management is and just how easily energy savings can be made, often through very simple technical and behavioural changes.”

The seminar will cover; an introduction to energy management, the benefits of management, monitoring energy use, technical, procedural and behavioural opportunities to reduce our energy requirements, practical programs for implementing energy management and the benefits of the renewable energy.

Matthew Fitch, Environmental Business Advisor at Groundwork, added: “With rising energy costs, the instability of energy markets and increasing regulation now is the time to get ahead of the competition and improve your energy management.”

The Energy Awareness Seminar is taking place on Tuesday 6th March (8:45am to 12:30pm) at The Organisational Learning Centre, The Old County Police Station, 66 Castle Street, Bolton, BL2 1AE. The seminar is free to attend but places are limited so registration is required. For more details or to register please contact Jean Maxwell by email jean.maxwell@groundwork.org.uk or call 0161 624 1444.

This seminar is the final part of a series of free events to help local businesses reduce operating costs and improve company performance.
